Disappointed with the push bikes available, Dutch designer Oscar Mulder decided to create his own balance bike for his son, Sebastiaan. And if Sebastian loves them, we think you will too! Not only are Kinderfeets beautifully designed, they're the most eco-friendly balance bikes we've found yet.  They're made from renewable birch with biodegradable rubber tires and Kinderfeets plants a tree for each bike sold.

Kinderfeets Push / Balance Bikes will quickly build confidence and skill. Most children are able to walk/ride the first time they sit down, and they will be able to coast with their feet on the pedals after a week or two. Each child learns at his/her own pace. Bikes are designed for children between the ages of 2 and 5, or as soon as they can reach the ground while sitting on the lowest seat position. The seat is easily adjustable so children of all sizes can ride, and ranges from 13 to 16 inches high. It weighs about 8 lbs and the weight is evenly distributed, so it’s easy to carry when your toddler is too tired to ride.

Derived from the Dutch for “children” and “bicycle,” a Kinderfeets is a wooden push / balance bike designed to ease the transition to pedal-poweredbiking and maintain a toddler’s comfort level. So that toddlers can cruise once they gain confidence, Kinderfeets broke the push bike mold and added footpegs. Knowing kids love to get dirty, they also added a removable seat cover that can go in the wash with the rest of the laundry. While other push bikes have inflatable tires that go flat, Kinderfeets’ tires don’t require air. Plus, Kinderfeets’ colorful chalkboard finish provides a reusable canvas for children to exercise their creativity.

Kinderfeets arrives in the package partially assembled. You will need to attach the front fork, the handlebar and the wheels. Assembly time is about 10 minutes and instructions and tools are included.
