The dZi holiday collection is made by its Fair Trade Holiday artisan group, a collective of over 300 artisans in the Kathmandu valley. These Fair Trade, hand-made items allow artisans to earn a living wage in a safe and healthy environment, often allowing mothers to work at home and stay with families. Handmade felt components are created and assembled by skilled artisans working in a fair trade production center. Excess water is drained into a neighboring garden for growing food. Artisans use 100% natural wool and non-toxic, azo-free dyes. Wool scraps are recycled into new products. Comes with our dZi's festive ''Fair Trade Holiday'' tag.

The Nitty Gritty

• In 2012, dZi created the Tara Happiness Fund to formally commit 5% of profits to community and education projects to benefit their artisans in Northern India and Nepal.
